New York Central System in cooperation with Esso Research and Engineering Co conducted stationary locomotive tests which indicated that residual distillate type fuel of 300 SSU viscosity at 100 F gives satisfactory operation in EMD F-7 freight locomotive equipped with 567 B-16 engine when used in conjunction with dual fuel system; test program; fuel inspection data; charts.
