Montreal Terminal was completed in 1943 to coordinate passenger and develop additional freight facilities; electrification is extension of existing 2400-v d-c system and is supplied from eight Hewittic glass bulb rectifier units; train operation throughout 12 mi of terminal track is by signal indication only and is controlled by two electric relay type interlockers.
