Small survey made during autumn plowing showed that majority of tractors observed had potential to achieve 37% greater output; main reason for lower output was driver discomfort at higher speeds necessary, while driver health is also affected; summary is given of 6 papers before National Institute of Agricultural Engineering; aspects considered are comfort and safety, noise, hydrostatic transmissions for tractor control, and testing of safety cabs.
