Ability to predict hydrodynamic stability by some simple experimental means, analogous to wind tunnel testing, is of great importance to manufacturer of flying boats and seaplanes; method outlined which involves testing of dynamically similar tank model; characteristics and construction problems of dynamic tank models are considered as well as general discussion of testing technique.
