Figures submitted which were taken from records of actual performance of Fowler Diesel and five Fowler steam locomotives; steam locomotives were of 0-4-2 wheel type, 4-coupled, with bore of 9.5 in. and stroke 12.5 in., boiler pressure being 180 lb and driving wheels 2 ft 5 in. in diam; engines weighed 16 tons each; Diesel locomotive was 80-hp 6A-type, 0-6-0 wheel arrangement weighing 16 tons.
