Ill effects caused by centripetal accelerations are traced to blood displacements within organism, particularly apt to occur in present seating arrangement in planes; means of reducing discomfort suggested; if higher speeds and longer flights are to be achieved without discomfort, plane occupants must be accommodated in reclining posture.
