Jan: Description of New York City municipal airport, North Beach, Long Island, covering 558 acres, of which 357 is "made" land; project is combination land and seaplane base now comprising 24 buildings with total of 931,500 sq ft of floor area, four runways; innovations in handling of aircraft and passengers, etc; 30 oil fired Lee unit heaters and concealed ducts used to heat 33,000,000 cu ft of space in 7 hangars and other buildings.
