Feasibility of utilizing nozzle separation as method of thrust vector control is discussed; preceding work was mainly study and analysis of nozzle separation; these results are applied to guidance problem; possibility of using nozzle separation as method for thrust vector control is dealt with; guidance problem is reviewed and trend toward purely aerodynamic vectoring through secondary injection is discussed; nozzle separation approach is broken into two areas -- controllability and magnitude; tests in these areas indicate that nozzle separation can be controlled and is of adequate magnitude to complement secondary injection as means of thrust vectoring.
