In examining man's requirements within closed environment for medium or long-term space missions, areas to be examined involve control systems for his gaseous envelope and provisions which must be furnished him; carbon dioxide removal system utilizing molecular sieves, compression distillation water reclamation system and oxygen-reclamation system were investigated and evaluated in closed environmental test chamber in which atmospheric variations could be controlled; problems involved and goals to achieve.
