Cill Airne was recently launched by Liffey dockyard for Cork Harbour Commissioners, as tender for passenger liners calling at port and can otherwise be employed as tourist vessel within precincts of port area; ship can accommodate 640 passengers, their baggage and mails, but this can be increased to 1500 passengers when cruising; length oa 151 ft 8 in., breadth molded 39 ft, depth molded 12 ft 6 in., draft aft 8 ft 7/8 in.; 2 Crossley engines each develop 430 bhp at 350 rpm.
