Examiner, one of 8 cargo ships of Maritime Commission's C-3 E design built by Bethlehem Steel Co; machinery plant consists of single screw, double reduction geared turbines of 8000 shp; steam conditions of 7 vessels are 425 lb and 740 F; "Examiner" differs from other vessels only in portions of high pressure reheat cycle.
