Resistance and propulsion experiments made in rough water with model hull of 12-knot cargo ship of 0.75 block coefficient at deep and ballast drafts described; rough water consisted of regular waves; model was towed "head on" against them; three sets of waves used; test results; motion of model during passage through sets of rough water; observations on effect of form of entrance of ships upon seaworthiness.
