Built by Deutsche Werft, Hamburg, for Skibsaktieselskapet Vigrid (Bruun and von der Lippe), Toensberg; length b.p. 416 ft. 6 in.; width 57 in.; with mean draft of 26 ft. 1 1/2 in., vessel has deadweight all told of 10,250 tons; propelled by double-acting compressorless M.A.N. 2-cycle Diesel engine of 2650 hp. at 115 r.p.m.; design is based on Deutsche Werft combined transverse and longitudinal frame system, so-called double-bulkhead system; details of auxiliary machinery and other equipment.
