Reference is made to extensive use of medium-size fleet of battery and diesel-driven industrial trucks for transporting work within machine shops and between various buildings on site, and to investigation into use and control of these vehicles; study revealed that means of communication between users (foremen), controller of fleet, and drivers, was weak link in system; radio control room was installed in main production area from which activities of eight industrial trucks and one road vehicle are directed; operation of system and its principal advantages.
