Under construction are 4 ft 8 1/2 in. gage rapid-transit vehicles by Canadian Car Fort William Div of Hawker Siddeley Canada Ltd for 1967 World Exhibition in Montreal; cars will be of steel and aluminum alloy and automatically controlled; air conditioned coaches are designed for operation on 630 v electric system as six-car sets; leading vehicle will be power car incorporating motorman's cab with full width vision and complete train-control equipment, second car will be standard trailer coach with motor-driven compressor, third car will be power car, fourth and fifth cars will be similar to second vehicle, and rear car will be similar to leading vehicle but with remotely-operated train-control equipment.
