Continuous inductive, automatic train control system with speed control and cab signals placed in service on 1500 d-c electrified line between Amersfoort and Amsterdam; system allows maximum flexibility in regular train operation with four controlled speed levels and can be expanded to incorporate additional controlled speed levels if required; system continuously transmits information between wayside and train as to block conditions ahead; this is done by means of coded current which is fed through rails and inductively coupled to receivers mounted on locomotives and multiple-unit trains.
