Report of accident in business district, when front bumper of fuel delivery truck slipped over rear bumper of LP-Gas semitrailer transport which it was attempting to push, and pipe fitting broke on LP-Gas cargo tank; escaping gas vaporized and ignited, resulting in fire that destroyed or severely damaged two tank trucks, two automobiles, and seven buildings; operation of pressure relief valves and coordinated attack by mutual-aid fire companies averted even greater disaster; new specification requirement necessary on construction of all such vehicles manufactured in United States after Sept 1965 is given.
