Importance of nondestructive testing in missile industry is considered from manager's viewpoint; major advantages such as providing maximum developmental and analytical data from minimum number of test firings, accurate failure analyses, savings in production costs, and others are outlined; gammographic unit GIGI is described which permits detecting deficiencies in solid rocket propellants; methods for inspection of propellants as well as of metallic rocket components are reviewed; Master Plan is formulated which contains types of information concerning manufacture of solid rocket motor.
