Electronically-controlled driverless train integrates warehousing, small parts storage, parts manufacturing, assembly lines, shipping, and receiving; train consists of tractor that hauls 3 or 4 trailers (each trailer is unusual combination of hydraulic pallet truck and plywood wing pallet) on loop track throughout plant; train makes approximately three round trips per hour and moves most of plant's materials -- between work centers, between stockroom and assembly lines, from work centers to stockroom, and between shipping dock and stockroom at Union Special Machine Co, Huntley, Ill.
