Report presents analytical solutions of problem of optimum maneuvering of glide vehicle flying at hypervelocity regime; problem consists of finding optimal control law for lift program such that final velocity or final altitude is maximized; problem can be viewed as bringing vehicle to best condition for interception, or penetration, or making evasive maneuver; if range is not constrained, solutions are obtained in closed forms; switching sequences for different cases are discussed; when range is prescribed problem consists of integrating second order nonlinear system.
