Paper describes numerical solution of boundary layer and inviscid flowfield, including interaction effects, programmed for IBM 7094 computer; results presented illustrate effects of blunting and heat transfer on performance of Mach 8 axisymmetric ramjet inlet at altitude of 100,000 ft; elements required to analyze inlet are blunt body solutions for center-body and cowl, thermodynamic properties of equilibrium air, inviscid flowfield analysis, laminar boundary-layer solution, turbulent boundary-layer solution, procedure for coupling of viscid and inviscid solutions and shock boundary-layer interaction.
