Inverse solution for equilibrium real gas flowfields over axisymmetric blunt bodies traveling at supersonic speed at large angle of attack is formulated; computer program based on theory is developed which overcomes instabilities and singularities that characterize solution; several particular real air solutions are obtained for axisymmetric shapes; angle-of-attack solution for sphere was used to verify formulation; Apollo flowfield at 22° angle of attack was obtained and found to agree with flight test pressure distribution, and satisfied internal consistency checks.
