Interference is shown to cause large "Magnus" effects on missile whose wings are deflected into aileron setting; experimental method with water as working medium is used to obtain low speed Magnus data which are presented for angles of attack up to 15° and for one (high) roll rate which accompanies 30° aileron deflection angle of wings; semiempirical theory is proposed to explain data; simplified model of wake behind wings is introduced to predict tail interference factors; good agreement with data is obtained.
