Southern Pacific Railroad, co-incident with construction of Los Angeles Union passenger Terminal at Los Angeles, has constructed new passenger coach yard equipped with overhead battery charging and air conditioning facilities; power requirements consist of 230-v, 60-cycle energy for stand-by power service for Pullman mechanically air conditioned cars, and d-c power for battery charging.
