12 heavy locomotives built by Baldwin Locomotive Works for Atlantic Coast Line Railroad to handle passenger trains between Richmond, Va, and Jacksonville, Fla; engines have cyl diam 27 in. and stroke 30 in.; total engine and tender wheelbase 97 ft 11 in.; boiler working pressure 275 lb per sq in.; grate area 97.75 sq ft; locomotive in working order weighs 205 tons 9 cwt; steam distribution is by means of 12 in. diam piston valves having max travel of 7 1/2 in.
