1200-ft bascule type trestle across St. Lucie River, completed by Florida East Coast Railroad Co, Stuart, Fla, was fabricated on site from steel bought direct from rolling mills in standard lengths; width 6 ft 6 in.; only wood used is in ties which are set between steel tie brackets and anchored by hook bolts; wooden tie plate along outside ends of ties used.
