Results of numerous comparative experiments are said to show that for cars with ordinary bearings the rolling resistance is dependent on duration of time in which car is in motion, temperature of air and weight of load, and that the starting resistance is also largely dependent on outside influences. With ball-bearing cars rolling resistance is entirely independent of outside influences and is 38 per cent less than that of ordinary cars, while starting resistance is only a fraction of that of ordinary cars.
