Promising missions, selected on basis of minimum gross weight in Earth orbit, are available with long-duration class transfers (800 to 1000 days) during entire period investigated but are restricted to 1980's if short-duration (360 to 600 day) missions are desired; concept of multimission vehicle design is developed, and vehicle's capability is determined for several synodic periods; vehicle, with constant structural weight and tank size is capable of performing round-trip missions of various durations during several synodic periods.
