Paper considers concept of simple mechanization for on-board lunar navigation; system accuracy was verified by simulation of linearized Kalman filtering scheme and performance of this linear estimator in presence of actual geometric and dynamic nonlinearities; it was found that two or three properly chosen stars and local vertical constitute reasonably adequate set of observables; details of data processing and data conditioning are given.
