In 1928 Company in Baltimore inaugurated program of expansion, first step of which included addition of second 9000-ton floating drydock and construction of new 650-ft. pier; ample space is provided at piers for mooring ten vessels 400 ft. in length having draft up to 22 ft. at one time; in general, yard is equipped for repairing, reconditioning, and building vessels of all classes up to 10,000 tons.
