Twin-engined flying boat fitted with Armstrong Siddeley Lynx Mark IV direct-drive engines, designed by Canadian Vickers, Ltd., to specification prepared by Royal Canadian Air Force and for use in connection with suppression of forest fires; duties are to transport men and fire-fighting equipment to fires reported by regular aerial fire patrols; low landing speed, quick take-off, and high initial rate of climb; hull entirely of duralumin; interior of hull has been kept very clear of obstruction.
