New electrical system of synchronization neutralizes action of reciprocating parts of main engines in yacht Olive K; vibration-control device works to keep two main Diesels synchronized; a.c. generators are built into flywheels of these engines, and controls are arranged for electrically locking them in such relation as to neutralize throwover cranks; length o.a. 169 ft.; propulsion of twin-screw is by means of two direct-connected Winton 8-cylinder Diesels; auxiliary generating plant consists of two 6-cylinder Winton Diesel-driven generators.
