Motorship built by Cantiere Navale Triestino, of Monfalcone, to order of Compania Transmediterranea, of Barcelona, for service between Spain and Canary Islands; length o.a. 277 ft. 11 1/4 in., deadweight carrying capacity 2000 tons, speed 16 knots, passengers 210; there are two continuous decks extending from stem to stern, and partial lower deck from collision bulkhead to forward bulkhead of deep tank, adopted for carrying fuel oil; propelling machinery consists of two sets of Burmeister and Wain 4-stroke-cycle, 8-cylinder airless-injection Diesels developing total of 5200 s.hp.
