Twin engined mid-wing monoplane of composite wood and metal construction with twin fins and rudders; Albemarle has been used for variety of purposes, most important being that of glider tug; span 77 ft; length 59 ft 11 in.; height (to tip of propeller) 15 ft 7 in.; tare weight (glider tug) 22,600 lb; max speed, in excess 250 mph at 10,500 ft; normal range over 1300 mi; Bristol power plants are fitted with Hercules XI engines.
