Explains reasons which led Birmingham Corporation to pull up one of its tramways and substitute another system in its place; company's experience with new trolley-bus system. Concludes that for transport of large masses of people expeditiously and cheaply, tramcar has no competitor and still holds the field. Paper read before Mun. Tramways Assn.
