Drawings show layout of geared turbine propelling machinery constructed by Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co for two steamships being built for Alfred Holt and Co; turbines designed to operate with steam at initial pressure of 600 psi and superheated to temperature of 950 F; each set is capable of developing max of 8000 shp at 112 rpm; turbines are of 3-cyl type.
