Clyde paddle steamer acquired by British Shipbuilding Research Association for carrying out trials with her hull; vessel now equipped with four Rolls-Royce Derwent V jet engines; reason for using jet engines is to provide thrust which will propel hull without causing any extraneous disturbance in water which would affect hydrodynamic resistance; intended program of tests.
