Deals with traffic behavior while negotiating right turn with heavy stream of traffic; study of driver action was made before and after white paint line, separating two turning lanes, was applied to street surface; attempt was made to locate paint line to facilitate flow and encourage dual turning movements; area studied was intersection of Elm and York Streets, in New Haven, Conn, for period during 1948-49, while one-way streets were in effect.
