Requirements of V/O Sudoimport, Moscow, were for processes of trawling, canning frozen fish (filleted and unfilleted), fish meal, and fish oil production to be carried out in tropical waters in confines of one 423-ft hull; vessel was built by Ateliers et Chantiers de Nantes, and two sister ships are due for completion in 1966; breadth molded 62 ft 4 in., depth to fishing deck 39 ft 5 in., gross register 8425 tons; diesel electric propulsion is used; plan.
