Economic and production considerations for single design tie, used by German Federal Railroads, and produced in two lengths: B55 which is 90.5 in., and B58 which is 94.5 in. long; ties are manufactured by vibration process and have 8520 psi cubic strength; data on measurements and types of reinforcements; rails are fastened with concreted, tar oil-impregnated hard wood dowels; ties are sufficiently non-conducting to meet technical requirements of signal installation.
