Boeing Aircraft Co completed test on prerotation of 19.00 × 23 tire equipment, with vanes; purpose was to test effectiveness of vanes on B. F. Goodrich tire in producing pre-rotation in order to reduce tire wear in landing, and to determine characteristics of vaned tires, under flight conditions, which might affect safety of operation; conclusions are given.
