Bureau of Yards and Docks is engaged in constructing total of 28 docks at points on Atlantic and Pacific coasts; some of largest have been especially designed to accommodate biggest of capital ships for drydocking, and to be used for actual building within them of certain of ships; illustrated description of some of drydocks; three periods in development of Harris method for constructing tremie placed concrete drydocks.
