Experiment is described which attempts to establish subjective scale of speed, or more precisely of passive locomotion, such as that experienced by driver of motor vehicle; by method in which subject is required to produce speed which in his opinion bears given proportional relation to standard speed presented, speed expressed as sensation and real speed are tested for possible power law relation; it is found that exponent is not constant, but has definite correlation with speed.
