Economical twin-engined 10-seat BN-2 transport for world-wide feeder routes, was designed around two 210-hp continuously rated Continental IO-360 fuel-injection flat-six engines; overall width of fuselage is 47 in. and maximum depth 62 in.; design principles applied to light alloy structure which is riveted together are outlined; single-piece wing is attached to fuselage at four points for transferring lift loads, and above and below for transmitting drag forces; decision to dispense with aisle in cabin has advantage of reducing fuselage frontal area and structure weight; cutaway-drawing, layout of instrument panel, and performance curves.
