Objectives of Tripartite agreement between Federal Republic of Germany, United Kingdom, and United States were development of BS53 Pegasus 5 engine and P-1127 airframe, and investigation of concepts applicable to P-1127 V/STOL aircraft; certain aspects of Kestrel (P-1127) Tripartite V/STOL Operational Trials which commenced Jan 1 1962, are described including purpose of trials, brief chronology, description of test aircraft, organization of test unit, scope of trials, and selected results and conclusions of trials.
