Review of stability and control research, conducted by de Havilland Aircraft of Canada, during design of twin engine propeller driven DHC-5 Buffalo STOL utility transport and flight test results; emphasis is on longitudinal stability and control characteristics, particularly in stalling regime; work showed that requirements could be met with relatively conventional unsophisticated design, confirmed by flight testing.
