Reasoning based on physical mechanism involved in potential flow rheoelectrical analogy has suggested mathematical relation between geometry of immersed body and remote location of associated zero-circulation stagnation streamline; theorem postulating this relation is presented; it is shown that addition of leading-edge flap to airfoil will always produce increase in slope of airfoil lift curve, and, for every airfoil at given incidence, there exists leading-edge flap that will maximize potential flow lift.
