Greatest handicap of electric cars is insufficiently developed storage battery; one-third of useful load of modern truck is weight of battery; reason why, in spite of these conditions, number of electric trucks is steadily increasing is their higher efficiency and economy and greater simplicity; segregated losses of both electric and gasoline cars are shown graphically; at present there are only 3000 electric trucks in operation in Germany out of total of 60,000 motor trucks.
