Burmeister and Wain have delivered first pair of 4 vessels which are not themselves fishing craft, but are fish processing vessels intended to operate with Soviet trawler fleets in North Atlantic, Arctic, and Pacific Oceans; appearance is unusual with exceptionally high top-sides and goal post masts forward and aft carrying 4 3-ton and 2 7-ton derricks for discharging cargo from refrigerated holds; there is also streamlined combined signal and radar mast above wheelhouse; length bp 298 ft, beam 56 ft 6 in., dw 2600 tons, draft 17 ft 4 in., loaded speed trials 14 knots; output of 6-cyl B and W engine is 3530 hp at 200 rpm.
