Effect of crankcase emissions and crankcase emission control devices is considered from air pollution standpoint; blowby flow rates for different engine sizes are presented; various types of devices, approved by California Motor Vehicle Pollution Control Board, are described and their strength and weaknesses enumerated; design and operating problems of systems currently being used.
